About Kobrina

A SMALL, SENIOR TEAM THAT PLUGS INTO SHOPIFY BRANDS AND STAYS.

Kobrina is six years old. The model is simple: the senior people who pitch the work lead the work, and our anchor engagement has run on the same monthly retainer since day one, because the longer we're in, the better we get.

The founder

Brian Rozenblum. Operator first, agency second.

I started building websites in Florida more than twenty years ago, hand-coding HTML and laying out comps in Photoshop at a small agency. Shopify didn't exist yet. Ecommerce was barely a category. What I learned then was a different craft from what Kobrina runs now, but the underlying habit is the same: figure out what the business actually needs, then build it cleanly.

I left that work for a long stretch. I worked in finance. I opened self-defense and fitness studios in Florida and Colorado and ran them as the operator. Brick-and-mortar taught me how owners actually think about their stores, their customers, and their margins. It's the most useful credential I have when I talk to founders today, and it's the one most agency founders don't have.

Eventually I came back to the web through a partnership with a martial arts consultant. We built sites for studio owners at volume across the country. Small operators, real businesses, real tools. That was the bridge back into agency work.

In 2020 I met the founder of Enrforce. They needed an ecommerce partner. The engagement is six years in and still running. Kobrina formed around that work and grew from there. Same founder. Same retainer. Same team.

01.

Senior-led. Nothing ships blind.

Every engagement is scoped, led, and reviewed by the same senior people you meet in the pitch. The bench scales the output. Nothing ships without senior eyes on it.

02.

Retainers, because that's where the work compounds.

Project work fixes what's already broken. The retainer catches the next thing before it costs money. Six years on one client gave us the scar tissue you only get from running a real business with real money on the line. We built the rest of the agency around it.

03.

We're picky, and we hope you are too.

The best work we've done has been with people we liked, who liked us back, and who treated the engagement as a real partnership. We say no to bad fits early because we've learned what bad fits cost both sides later.

04.

Boutique honesty. No scale theater.

We name the people who lead the work. We only claim logos we can permission. We don't pretend to be bigger than we are. A small senior team only works if the claims about it are true.

05.

Design judgment first. Tests to confirm.

We make design and merchandising calls from years of pattern recognition, not by A/B testing every button. We test the decisions that matter and ship the rest. The judgment is the work. The tests are the proof.

SOUND LIKE A TEAM YOU'D WANT IN YOUR CORNER?

Ninety days is usually enough to know. The first call is just a conversation about your business and whether the fit is right on both sides.
